More experience: Providing reliability for 25 years

Friedhelm Nolte founded innospec Prüfsystem GmbH in the early 1990s. Originally focused on industrial testing technology, the first order for the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) led to a complete realignment of the company. For the ESRF, innospec planned the protection rooms for the first experimentation lines of the electron storage ring and was significantly involved in the development and quality assurance.
In a synchrotron, electrons are accelerated on a circular path to almost the speed of light. By means of deflecting magnets, ultra-bright x-ray light is created at specific points of the ring, which provides a unique tool for studying the finest structures, e.g., proteins and nano materials.

The largest synchrotron in Europe is at ESRF in Grenoble, France.

Globally, innospec has shielded almost 80 beamlines.
